The space age is entering a new phase as a result of commercialisation, privatisation, digitalisation, miniaturisation, and new cooperation formats between private and state actors. The motivating factors behind this new development termed “New Space” are primarily economic in nature, but the implications extend much further. This study looks at key economic, political and defence aspects.
