Worst-case scenarios play a crucial role in strategic foresight. This study will use theoretically derived geopolitical scenarios to prepare decision makers for possible negative developments in the future. Plausible yet particularly adverse security policy developments will be outlined and their implications for the security of Europe and Germany discussed.
