Two of the key challenges facing the Bundeswehr are personnel growth and technical innovation. Humanoid robots sit, stand and walk at the intersection of these two areas of responsibility. The study outlines the current state of technology, maps the innovation landscape and considers the military use of humanoid robots, including corresponding development scenarios.
